Our Vision

To become a leading academic, research and consultancy hub in Public Health, Disease Control and Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) in Jordan and the Middle East & North Africa region (MENA)

Our Goals

  • Focus on major public health problems in Jordan and the MENA Region.
  • Conduct local, regional and international disease registries in collaboration with local, regional and international stakeholders.
  • Partner with international organizations, donors and supporters in planning and execution of public health programs and generation of data.
  • Establish a state-of-art regional centre for medical screening.
  • Establish a regional centre for Pharmacoeconomics and Health Technology Assessment. ​

Our Mission

  1. To play a leading role in public health activities in Jordan and the region.
  2. To contribute to the systematic generation and application of Evidence Based Medicine in the healthcare system in Jordan and the region.
  3. To contribute to the global and regional efforts in transforming primary healthcare services into comprehensive family medicine and preventive medicine services.
  4. To contribute to the growing role of JU and JUH as a regional academic, research and consultancy centre in healthcare and public health.
  1. To provide a sustainable financial model to support the institute and Jordan University through applied research projects, consultancy and academic programs.
  2. To support the JU international ranking through international and regional networking, initiatives and accreditations empowering graduates and meeting the needs of the labour market.​

Our Objectives


  1. Support Evidence Based Approach in control of Public Health Problems in Jordan and the region
  2. Initiate research and consultancy projects in collaboration with different stakeholders to tackle major healthcare and public health problems in Jordan and the MENA Region.
  3. Support international collaborations in public health and disease control initiatives.
  4. Apply Health Economics in public health and disease control initiatives in Jordan and the region
  5. Conduct local, regional and international disease registries in collaboration with local, regional and international stakeholders.
  6. Lead training and educational programs in public health fields, medical research and EBM such workshops, fellowships, and advanced programs.
  7. Drive health promotion and patient educational activities.​
