Master Degree in Health Economics and Health Policies / Program Details

Objectives:

The department supervises academic, research and advisory programs related to health economics, health policy and management.

Mission:

1. Supervising a Master's program in Health Economics and Policy.

2. Conduct research studies in the fields of health administration, health economics, health technology evaluation, and healthcare quality.

3. Contributing through training and consulting programs in the fields of healthcare financing and comprehensive health insurance.

4. Conducting professional diploma courses and programs in quality and accreditation of health institutions and health administration.

5. Adopting an active role in health economics, health management and health care financing projects in cooperation with the Institute's Health Projects Office.

​Programme's Goals:

  1. To Enable graduates to have good knowledge and skills in health economics and health policies.
  2. To develop graduates' knowledge, abilities, and competence necessary to conduct economic analyses of policies and interventions.
  3. To enable graduates to become independent public health specialists in HTA, health economics and healthcare policies.
  4. To support local and regional initiatives aiming to follow evidence-based approaches and apply HTA in healthcare policies and systems.
  5. To enable graduates to conduct research initiatives and interventions to improve public health and patients' access to healthcare in the region.
  6. To encourage graduates to think about health equity and the delivery and use of healthcare. ​
